General League Information

Our Goal
Our goal is to create a good atmosphere to play and enjoy the game of ball hockey, to develop self-confidence, a sense of good sportsmanship while improving a player's individual skills. Fair play and equal playing time are essential in developing self-confidence in young players.

Equipment
CSA approved helmet with full face shield
Hockey gloves
Protective cup
Wooden hockey stick (no plastic blades)
Knee pads (soft)
& Elbow (soft)
Shin pads

ALL equipment is mandatory for ALL divisions and ALL associations as ruled by WCMBHA for the 2006 season. (please be advised that shoulder pads are not permitted). Equipment regulations are in place to ensure proper insurance for your child. If your son or daughter is injured without proper equipment, insurance coverage is effected. This is an important issue both for you and the club so please ensure that your child is fully equipped.

Season Play
14 games with 4 playoff games, interlocked with Surrey, Delta, Ridge Meadows & Metro. Medals are given to all players on all teams for regular season play. Gold for 1st, Silver for 2nd, Bronze for all other teams.

Valley Ball Hockey wants every child to have an opportunity to play.

We want equal playing time for all children, skilled and not so skilled.

Parents and children should learn to be competitive and at the same time understand that the game is meant to be fun..

It’s just a game... meant for exercise and enjoyment!
